Fiesta Bowl Charities Opens 2024-25 Grant Cycle Applications to Nonprofit Organizations Across Arizona

Application Period Open Through May 17 for Three-Tiered Grant Funding

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (April 29, 2024) – Applications for the 2024-25 Fiesta Bowl Charities Grant Cycle officially opened today for Arizona nonprofit organizations to apply to receive grant funding. Applications will be accepted through Friday, May 17, 2024, at 4 p.m. MST.

Nonprofit organizations can access the application, along with grant cycle guidelines, scoring rubric, frequently asked questions and further information at FiestaBowl.org/grantcycle.

"Fiesta Bowl Charities is proud to support the important work being done every day by Arizona nonprofits to positively impact Arizonans and communities throughout the state," said Fiesta Bowl Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Erik Moses. "We have seen first-hand how the resources we provide enhance the missions of our nonprofit partners where it's needed in the areas of youth, sports and education. The investments we make into these charities are an investment in the futures of the people served by our charitable partners and to our future as a community."

Arizona nonprofit organizations may apply for one of three funding opportunities: $50,000 (Touchdown Grant), $25,000 (Field Goal Grant) or $15,000 (Kickoff Grant). The organization must have 501(c)(3) status with 100% of the funding serving residents within the Arizona geographic boundaries in the areas of the Fiesta Bowl's core pillars: youth, sports and education.

Through last season's Grant Cycle, one million Arizonans benefitted from Fiesta Bowl Charities grants, spanning 20 organizations within the Maricopa, Pima, Yavapai and Navajo counties. The grants were used to support a wide range of projects from providing a mobile scoreboard to support five different campuses within a school district to go-carts for youth with disabilities to youth programming for military families to renovating an activity and mentoring center for youth.

More than 478,000 youth were impacted through programming and another 350,000+ Arizonans through educational programming.

After the application period closes on May 17, the Fiesta Bowl Charitable Giving Committee, consisting of members of the Board of Directors, Yellow Jacket Committee Members, Ambassadors and staff, will evaluate the submissions. Notifications of this season's grant recipients will take place in early August.
