Fiesta Sports Foundation and Arizona Milk Producers Team Up for “Moo & Boo” Dairy Drive Benefiting United Food Bank

Monthlong Campaign Encourages Donations for Nutritious Milk to Deliver to Arizonans Facing Food Insecurity

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (October 1, 2026) – Fiesta Sports Foundation and Arizona Milk Producers are teaming up to help put milk on the tables of Arizona families facing food insecurity. The organizations are coming together to collect online donations through the "Moo & Boo" Dairy Drive, a Halloween-themed campaign benefiting United Food Bank that runs from October 1-30.

During the monthlong Dairy Drive, community members are encouraged to give online at give.unitedfoodbank.org/dairy. Donations help United Food Bank provide milk and other highly requested dairy products to the 140,000+ individuals it serves every month.

The drive concludes with a volunteer event on Friday, October 30, from 8:30-11:00 a.m. at the United Food Bank Volunteer Center (358 E. Javelina Ave., Mesa, AZ 85210). Volunteers will pack emergency food boxes and stock the center's refrigerators with gallons of milk, which will be distributed along with the boxes and other donated dairy products.

"Milk is consistently one of the most requested items at food banks, but unfortunately one of the least donated. That's why efforts like the Moo & Boo Dairy Drive are so important to organizations like United Food Bank, which serves hundreds of thousands of people every month," said Kristina Chumpol, Fiesta Sports Foundation chief impact officer. "When we learned of the great need for milk among individuals facing food insecurity, our partnership with Arizona Milk Producers immediately came to mind. We're proud to join forces again to get more dairy into the hands of United Food Bank's families, and to have a little Halloween fun while we do it."

Addressing a Critical Need

Milk remains one of the most requested but least donated items at food banks across Arizona, with 1 in 7 Arizonans, 1 in 5 children and 1 in 11 seniors experiencing food insecurity. Despite high demand, families served by food banks often receive less than one gallon of milk per person per year.

Milk's perishability and refrigeration requirements make it especially challenging for food banks to store, transport and distribute, limiting its availability for families who need it most. Yet dollar for dollar, milk is one of the most affordable sources of key nutrients like protein, calcium and Vitamin D, helping food banks stretch their budgets even further.

"Arizona Milk Producers is proud to partner with Fiesta Sports Foundation and United Food Bank to help provide nutritious milk to individuals and families facing food insecurity," said Tammy Baker, general manager of Arizona Milk Producers. "With its high-quality protein, calcium and other essential nutrients, milk plays an important role in supporting the growth and development of children and helping adults maintain strong muscles and bones. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together with our partners and community to help put more milk on the tables of Arizona families."

Supporting United Food Bank's Mission

In 2026, United Food Bank serves more than 140,000 Arizonans each month. In August 2026 alone, United Food Bank served more than 157,000 Arizonans through its network of community partners across its 19,000+ square mile service area – an increase of more than 23% compared with the same month last year.

"Having access to nutritious food means having access to the staples families rely on every day, and milk is an important part of that," said Jason Reed, President and CEO of United Food Bank. "The Moo & Boo Dairy Drive gives our community a simple way to help us provide fresh, nourishing dairy products to our neighbors. We're grateful to Fiesta Sports Foundation, Arizona Milk Producers and everyone who contributes for helping fill our refrigerators and, ultimately, the refrigerators of families across our community."
