(August 24, 2026) – As the anticipation for another thrilling season of college football builds, tickets for the 2026 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl are now on sale. The road to the CFP National Championship runs through Arizona as the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl hosts a CFP Quarterfinal on December 30, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. MST. As the only football game played that day, the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl will stand alone as the centerpiece of the football experience for fans across the country.

This marks the second time the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl hosts a CFP Quarterfinal. The previous matchup was the first-ever CFP Quarterfinal, which featured No. 3 seed Boise State and No. 6 Penn State – two Vrbo Fiesta Bowl legacy schools. The Nittany Lions defeated the Broncos, 31-14, and advanced to the 2024-25 CFP Semifinals, improving their all-time record at the Fiesta Bowl to a perfect 8-0.

By purchasing tickets to the CFP Quarterfinal at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, fans receive priority to purchase tickets and preferred seating locations for future Vrbo Fiesta Bowl playoff games.

The 56^th annual Vrbo Fiesta Bowl will kick off the CFP Quarterfinal round and will feature two of the nation's top college football teams. The 12-team CFP field will be announced on Sunday, December 6, with First Round games scheduled for December 18-19.
