Fiesta Sports Foundation

Scott Leightman joined the Fiesta Sports Foundation in 2017 and has added responsibilities in his time where he currently serves as Vice President, Communications, Media & Industry Relations.
 
Leightman provides strategic oversight for the Foundation’s communications, content, public relations and gameday media relations efforts, leading and executing plans to further the organization’s reputation throughout the year. He is also a primary liaison with national television networks, conference partners, FBS institutions and college football stakeholders.
 
Previously, Leightman worked for USA Swimming as Director of Communications & PR, including all efforts during and after the Rio Olympic Games. He also was a member of the start-up executive team for the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats, served as Director of Communications for the Phoenix Suns, TaylorMade-adidas Golf and Buffalo Communications and worked in college athletics at four institutions.
 
Upon joining the Fiesta Sports Foundation, Leightman returned to Arizona with his wife, a Phoenix native and two sons. Away from the Bowl, he enjoys watching his sons play sports, hitting the golf course, catching a movie and traveling.
