Glenn M. Wong is an attorney, professor, arbitrator and author. He joined Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law as a Distinguished Professor of Practice in 2015. In 2017, he was named Executive Director of ASU’s Allan “Bud” Selig Sports Law and Business Program. The Master’s degree program prepares and places students in various positions in professional team sports, college sports, Olympic sports, agencies, and other sports industry organizations. The strong and continued growth and reputation of the program has been aided by a revamped curriculum, adding sports industry faculty members and the establishment of a 40 person National Advisory Board of leading sports industry executives. A concurrent degree (JD and MSLB) has also been added.
 
Wong has worked an attorney and/or arbitrator with various organizations, including the National Football League, Major League Baseball, the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the American Arbitration Association, and PGA of America.
 
Prior to ASU, Wong was a professor at the University of Massachusetts in various roles, including: 10 years as Department Head of the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management (1987-92; 1993-98); Interim Athletic Director (1992-93); Faculty member in the Isenberg School of Management (2003-15); Acting Dean of the School of Physical Education (1992-93); and Faculty Athletics Representative to the NCAA (1993-2013). Wong received the University of Massachusetts Distinguished Teaching Award and the Chancellors Medal of Honor on two separate occasions.
 
Wong has served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations, including the U.S. Tennis Association New England and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Wong is a Past President of the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA) and has been a board member since 1998.
 
He has authored or co-authored several books and over 100 articles, including the first sports law casebook, Law and Business of the Sports Industries (1986), with Robert C. Berry, the Essentials of Sports Law, 4th Edition (2010) and The Comprehensive Guide to Careers in Sports, 2nd Edition (2012).
