SCOTTSDALE, AZ (March 22, 2024) – The Fiesta Bowl Organization's premier three-day community-serving caravan returns on March 26-28 with the fourth annual Kindness Arizona program delivering kindness to communities in Arizona.

"Everyone can sprinkle a little more kindness into their daily lives and Kindness Arizona demonstrates the fabric of who the Fiesta Bowl is as an organization," said Fiesta Bowl Chief of Staff & Vice President of Community Investment Kristina Chumpol. "Kindness Arizona showcases what can happen when we choose to serve others in big and small ways. With needs being great in so many of our communities, this program provides a special opportunity for our staff and volunteers to spread kindness throughout many areas of Arizona.

Fiesta Bowl Kindness Arizona delivers 'acts of kindness' through a diverse array of service projects and events designed to make an impact in simple ways. Fiesta Bowl volunteers, staff, Ambassadors, Yellow Jackets and Board of Directors will come together for six stops in three days and complete projects that include housing refurbishment, tree planting, school enhancements and bicycle repairing.

The Fiesta Bowl Kindness Arizona tour will begin with painting transitional housing apartments at the Sojourner Center before the organization unveils its seventh teacher lounge refresh since 2021, providing an upgrade for faculty and staff at Shepherd Junior High School in Mesa.

Day two begins with the first Kindness Arizona stop in Cottonwood at Manzanita Outreach – the largest food assistance provider in Yavapai County – where volunteers will pack snack boxes for teachers to distribute to students within their classrooms. Following the short trip north, the Fiesta Bowl heads back to Phoenix to donate and deliver cases of water to The Salvation Army in preparation for Arizona's summer months, where heat-related fatalities have increased by three times since 2019.

Kindness Arizona's three-day tour, in partnership with Salt River Project (SRP), concludes with a pair of service events in Phoenix. The Fiesta Bowl will donate and plant five trees in the garden at Cordova Elementary School for the students' hands-on projects and will conclude by repairing and restoring bikes that were donated for individuals participating in St. Vincent de Paul's programming.

Kindness Arizona was formed in 2021 to serve Arizonans coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since its inaugural year, the Fiesta Bowl Organization has supported organizations, schools and individuals across the Phoenix metro area and in Flagstaff, Prescott, Tucson and Cottonwood.

If you or your organization would like to get involved with Kindness Arizona, including donating bicycles for the St. Vincent de Paul restoration project, please email charities@fiestabowl.org.
