Fiesta Sports Foundation Refreshes Community Resource Room at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona’s Prescott Clubhouse

Fiesta Sports Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona partner for refresh of Foundation’s first-ever Community Resource Room

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (October 30, 2025) – As part of Fiesta Sports Foundation's mission to provide statewide economic impact and charitable resources, the Foundation partnered with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (AZ Blue) to refresh its Community Resource Room at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona (BGCCAZ)'s Prescott Clubhouse on October 30.

Located in Prescott, BGCCAZ was the recipient of the Foundation's first-ever community resource room in 2019. Due for a refresh after years of daily use, the Club received $20,000 worth of necessary technology, furniture and supplies to revitalize the existing space. These assets enhance the Club's services for more than 100 local youth who rely daily on the facility and allow BGCCAZ to strengthen community connections while supporting its activities and educational programming.

"At Fiesta Sports Foundation, we know true impact isn't about single moments but sustained, genuine partnerships," Fiesta Sports Foundation Director of Community Engagement Sandra Avila said during the unveiling ceremony. "When we heard that our very first Community Resource Room needed new supplies, we made an easy decision to step in for a refresh to keep the space up to date. We're so proud to partner with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona to continue our support for the important work BGCCAZ does every day."

The Community Resource Room refresh reveal gave BGCCAZ members the opportunity to explore the updated space and partake in activity stations with their new technology and materials.

"The Clubs in Prescott are so grateful to our partners at Fiesta Sports Foundation and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona for these much-needed new supplies," BGCCAZ CEO Alex Heinemann said. "For six years now, our Club kids have benefited from the tremendous gift of this Community Resource Room. Our facility may show its age, but the space provided by Fiesta Sports Foundation lifts spirits and offers engaging programming opportunities for our kids and staff."

BGCCAZ youth and teens will enjoy new laptops and iPads, cameras, a 3D printer and esports equipment in addition to art supplies, books and board games.

"We're proud to help refresh this resource room so it continues to serve as a hub of opportunity for kids in Prescott," said Paul Penzone, VP and Chief Community Relations Officer at AZ Blue. "Partnering with Fiesta Sports Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona allows us to invest in spaces that inspire learning, creativity and connection."
